The Varsity Girls Track team are back-to-back ESDAA Champions 🏆🏆
These girls never gave up all weekend and fought for every point. We were in a close battle with Rhode Island, and every event mattered.
I’m so proud of Isabella, who was dealing with a lingering injury that got worse throughout the meet, but she still stepped up and fought hard in the 800m, earning big points to help us take the lead. Julie Raye also pushed through exhaustion and came through with an important point in the 300m hurdles when we needed it.
Overall, we had 9 personal records across the meet, which says a lot about how these girls showed up when it mattered most. Everyone contributed, everyone supported each other, and they gave it everything they had. Ed and I couldn’t be more proud of them.

The Bisons competed yesterday against Rochester and Western Pennsylvania and came out with wins over both. We had a really solid day with 11 personal records.
Shoutout to Julie Raye for getting 1st in the 100m again—two meets in a row!

The Girls Varsity Track team competed on Wednesday, 4/22/2026, against Buffalo Science. We had 2 girls out with illness, but the girls still came ready to compete.
Really proud of the effort from everyone, especially some of our younger rookies who stepped up and competed hard.

The SMSD Bisons Girls Varsity Track team traveled to California School for the Deaf in Riverside over Easter Break to compete in the Berg/Seeger Classic. The girls worked hard and finished tied for 13th out of 23 schools.
We haven’t had a ton of time to train outside since the season started, so this meet was a good chance to get out there, compete, and figure things out as we go. A couple personal records were hit, and the girls stepped up to some new challenges in the process. There were ups and downs, but overall a solid weekend of racing and learning.
