  • FALL 2021

Dear Members of the St. Mary’s School for the Deaf Community:

Our 2021 Summer School was held remotely. During this time, our teachers, staff, and students were successful in achieving all goals in all our students’ individual plans. Thank you, teachers, staff, and students, for your hard work.

In September, we proudly began our 168th year of  Deaf  Education at St. Mary’s. This year promises to be another exciting year for students and families with new creative, innovative programs. We returned to school five days per week in-person for all SMSD students. Students and Staff are excited to be back fulltime. Student athletes are thrilled to be participating and competing in league games against other schools for the Deaf.

Thursday, October 7th is “Parent Conference Night” which will be held virtually.   There is NO SCHOOL on Friday, October 8th or Columbus Day, Monday, October 11th.  For more information on any events call the school at (716) 834-7200.

St. Mary’s School for the Deaf continues to partner with our many community organizations and acts as a valuable resource to Western New York.  We are committed to our Belief Statement and our Mission Statement.  We remain student focused, and student centered in our approach to Deaf Education.  Together we can help our students become life-long learners and productive citizens.

    We are Child First!
