Board of Trustees - Meeting Minutes

SPECIAL BOARD MEETING CONDUCTED
MONDAY, APRIL 21, 2008

Dr. Thomasina Stenhouse, Vice Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m.  Being that this meeting is a special meeting called to elect a new Chairperson for the Board of Trustees; it is the only agenda item that will be decided, per the By-Laws of the School.

The first order of business was to elect a chairperson pro tempore as Dr. Stenhouse was at the airport waiting to board a plane.

Mr. John McGrath was elected Chairperson pro tempore.

Mr. McGrath noted that the Nomination Committee was submitting the name of
Dr. Margaret McCarthy to be the new Chairperson for the Board of Trustees, completing the remainder of Mr. Joseph DePaolo’s term. 

Mr. McGrath asked for additional nominations from the floor.  There were none.

Dr. Margaret McCarthy was unanimously elected Chairperson of the Board of Trustees.

There were further discussions on two items with no decisions resulting:  The evaluation process for the superintendent; and the process to assess topics of interest and/or concerns of the parents.
