Yesterday was the last game of the season for the baby bisons. We played against Tapestry who in the beginning of January beat us 41-18. The Baby Bisons have worked so hard and have improved so much over the last few months, and it showed in this exciting game! We did lose, but only 21-19. We would like to thank everyone who came out to fill the stands and support the Baby Bisons yesterday and all season long!

The Baby Bisons played against St. Joes yesterday. They have a new girls team that has only had a few practices and yesterday was their first game ever. It was a great learning experience for all and a fun game to watch. On the books it was a win for the Baby Bisons 13-8, but all the kids were winners for giving it their best shot. I spoke with the coach of St. Joes at half time and she said, "I've been a basketball coach for over 10 years, and this is the most fun I've ever had with a game." Thank you to all who came out to support. Please join us February 25, 2015 for our last game of the season against Tapestry.

The Baby Bisons played a great game against Nichols yesterday. Nichols team had a lot of height, but that didn't intimidate the kids at all. Their defense was strong, and it was back and forth the entire game. Nick Barrus is back from being injured and had 20 of the 24 points our team scored. Two points were also from Moontaha Shalbi, and Kioney Alvira. We lost to Nichols 29-24. Please congratulate the kids on a job well done and join us next week Wednesday February 11th, 2015 at 3:30pm for our game against St. Joseph's. We also like to wish the Lady Bisons the best of luck this weekend! GO BISONS!

The Baby Bisons played against Aurora Waldorf. Due to  injuries and illness the team lost to  Aurora Waldorf 21-12. That is the lowest amount of points we've had scored against us so far this season. There was a great improvement in our defense from last week to this week. Kassim Kassim scored 6 points. Sabina Bajgai had two great blocks, and Kioney Alvira was able to steal the ball twice and make a layup. We are excited for the I-90 Classic happening next week Thursday. The Baby Bisons tip off at 2:00pm. We hope to see you all there!

Todays game was played against Tapestry. The kids started off strong, coming out on top the first half with a score of 13-10. After halftime they lost their groove, and Tapestry gained momentum. As always Tapestry travels with quite the fan base which pumped up their kids and we ended up losing 41-18. Sadly, Nick Barrus broke his finger during the game. We are wishing him a speedy recovery! Please join us next week January 14, for our game against Aurora Waldorf.

Due to confusion in scheduling, our opponent did not show up. We decided to continue with the game scrimmaging ourselves, blue vs. gold.  It was great for the kids to get accustomed to the way the game is run, and they had a lot of fun! We are looking forward to a great season!
