Abitibi Paper Retriever Program

Abitibi-Consolidated is a global leader in newsprint and commercial printing papers as well as a major producer of wood products, serving clients in some 70 countries from its 45 operating facilities.  Responsible for the forest management of 17.5 million hectares of woodlands, the Company is committed to the sustainability of the natural resources in its care. It also ranks first in Canada in terms of total certified woodlands.
Abitibi-Consolidated is the largest recycler of  newspapers and magazines in North America, serving 22 major metropolitan areas in Canada and the United States.  Abitibi-Consolidated also serves 130 local authorities in the United Kingdom.
Abitibi-Consolidated annually diverts approximately 1.9 million tons of waste paper from landfills.
